12/31/2018. Year End Hurrah!

Hurricanes beat the Flyers on New Year’s Eve, 2018.
Fun to watch the Canes go up 3-0 and ride it out to a 3-1 win.
Fun watching McElhinney own the crease.

Good crowd, and the Canes can see that the Caniacs will reward them for effort and a win.
Good to see Canes STMs getting a crack at the siren to open the periods.
There is no substitute for engaging Season Ticket Members with some of the fun stuff, and cranking the siren is definitely fun.

Still, some clumsy Fan Suppression at hand.
When the crowd is generating noise, and the noise level is increasing, it seems odd to have the event management drown them out with, “Make Some Noise!”
We WERE making noise, by golly.

Yeah, it was a lot of “Woo!” but it was noise and there was a lot of it. Started the Wave, and ran a few laps with THAT too, until it was squelched.
Actually, I love it when the crowd starts howling “WOO!” and a hundred or more fans echo it.
Something local.  Something organic.  And, fun.  See, we can entertain ourselves, whilst we watch good hockey.

Nice to have reported attendance of 16,400+ and no etiquette faux pas to report.
All in all, a great night at PNC.
And, I love the Storm Surge after a win!  The Caniacs do, too.  More than ever, they stick around to watch and cheer.  Good Stuff!

Now, if we can bookend New Year, 2019, with a win in Philadelphia tonight!
Can anyone say, “Winning Streak?”
